CITY SCENT — PRIVACY POLICY

City Scent (“City Scent”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the City Scent mobile application (the “App”) and the website https://www.cityscent.co (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the App and our related services, including browsing and purchasing fragrance products, placing orders, requesting maintenance visits, and contacting our support team. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Information You Provide Directly — Account Information: When you create an account or edit your profile, we collect your full name, phone number, and city and/or preferred branch. Order and Delivery Information: When you place an order or complete checkout, we collect delivery details, including your name, phone number, city, address, delivery notes, product details, order history, and invoices. Support, Feedback, and Consultation Information: When you contact support, request a consultation, or submit feedback, we collect the content of your messages, photos or images you choose to upload, and ratings and feedback you submit. 1.2 Information Collected Automatically — We may collect device model, operating system and version, app version, push notification token, location information with your permission, and usage information such as screens viewed and features used. 1.3 Information Stored on Your Device — The App stores certain data locally on your device, such as your session, cart contents, and preferences, so the App works smoothly. 1.4 Camera and Photo Library Access — The App requests access only when you choose to upload an image. We only receive images you deliberately select or capture, and never access your photos in the background.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use information to create and manage your account; process and deliver orders and generate invoices; contact you about orders, deliveries, maintenance visits, free trials, and warranty services; provide customer support and consultations; send push notifications about order status, offers, and important updates; help you find the nearest City Scent branch; improve, personalize, and secure the App; and comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We only share information in limited circumstances: with City Scent staff, relevant branches, delivery staff, and maintenance or consultation teams so they can fulfill orders and service requests; with trusted service providers, including Expo Push Notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging by Google, hosting, and infrastructure providers that process data only on our behalf; when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We will notify you of any material change in ownership or use of your information.
4. DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information only as long as necessary to maintain your active account; fulfill orders, warranties, maintenance schedules, and invoices; and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time.
5. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials and device secure.
6. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
With your permission, we send push notifications about order updates, delivery status, offers, and news. You can turn off push notifications at any time through your device settings or, where available, within the App’s settings.
7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on applicable law, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of your account and personal data; withdraw location, camera, photo, or notification permissions through your device settings; and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us using the details in Section 11 to exercise these rights, and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. INTERNATIONAL USERS
City Scent operates primarily in Iraq. If you use the App from outside Iraq, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Iraq and in countries where our service providers operate.
10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and, for significant changes, notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
